Its functions include receiving, investigating, and resolving student and staff grievances (both academic and non-academic), ensuring fair and timely resolution through mediation or referral, maintaining proper records, providing counselling, and working to create a harmonious and inclusive environment.

A grievance committee's purpose is to resolve grievances in a fair and impartial manner. The purpose of the Grievance Committee is to hear, investigate, and resolve a student complaint, grievance, or conflict.
